Women Employed’s Advocacy Council is an informed group of young women that organizes and advocates to advance WE’s goals of expanding educational and employment opportunities for America’s working women
Advocacy Council members are from diverse backgrounds with a strong commitment to women’s issues and social change with a range of skills and interests including marketing, organizing, and fundraising.
Members advance the movement for women's economic equality by
MOBILIZING our networks through events, e-advocacy, and social media to bring the voices of young women to the movement for change
INFORMING our personal and professional networks about the problem of low-paid work and what we can do together to solve it.
ADVOCATING to improve public policies to ensure fairness and open opportunities.
“FRIENDRAISING”and fundraising to strengthen Women Employed’s programs.

The Advocacy Council Meetings
Mix and mingle with Women Employed staff, Advocacy Council members, and participants of The 2019 Pattis Family Foundation Summer Leadership Program at our annual summer social. From 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. we'll hold our meeting at Women Employed. From 7:00 p.m . - 8:30 p.m. we'll hold the Summer Social at Emerald Loop Bar & Grill, 216 N. Wabash Ave. Snacks will be provided at the meeting, and a cash/credit bar will be available at the Summer Social. To attend, please RSVP to Amanda at firstname.lastname@example.org.
