Join The 75 Million

This is our moment to be seen, heard, and reckoned with.

Women Employed, along with partners across the country, is proud to launch The 75 Million Project, a campaign to hold policy makers accountable and to support a national working women’s agenda.

The 75 Million Project launched with An Open Letter to Working Women, which ran in the The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, and other newspapers across the country, signed by Women Employed and partner organizations.

The 75 Million Project is a bold call to action to build a national women’s policy agenda that reflects the realities, aspirations, and power of the 75 million working women who drive our economy, raise our families, and shape our nation.

Signing on means supporting the women who make America work. It means being part of a growing chorus of voices. We are workers, caregivers, organizers, CEOs, faith leaders, artists, and everyday people. We are ready to reject attacks on our freedoms and build a future rooted in equity, dignity, and care.

By signing on, you’re joining a campaign that:

  • Reclaims the conversation about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and puts people, not politics, at the center.
  • Defends and demands policies like paid leave, affordable child care, and fair workplaces, for example, as essential infrastructure for quality living.
  • Elevates women’s stories and leadership, reminding the nation that when women thrive, we all thrive.
  • Moves us from silence to strategy, mobilizing our collective voice through cultural moments, public campaigns, and digital action.

Behind every paycheck is a woman balancing everything. We see you. We are you. Join us at the75million.org

If you believe that women deserve better, then this campaign is yours.

Working Women Wednesdays:

Women Employed recently had the opportunity to host two Working Women Wednesday chats, organized by The 75 Million Project, with female legislators who are making bold change for women and families in their states. This Instagram Live series shines a light on the policies and power structures that shape working women’s lives and lifts up the leaders who are advancing bold, systemic change.

On August 13th, Cherita Ellens, WE’s President and CEO, hosted a conversation with Michigan State Senator Stephanie Chang, the important progressive policy work that Senator Chang is undertaking to support working women in Michigan.

On August 20th, Sharmili Majmudar, WE’s Executive Vice President of Policy, Programs, and Research led a conversation with Minnesota State Senator Erin Maye Quade about the importance of centering families and working women of color in policy spaces.
