Accounting and Administrative Assistant

Women Employed is seeking a highly organized, detail-orientated individual for our Accounting and Administrative Assistant position. This individual reports to the Senior Director of Finance and Administration and will support the work of Women Employed as a member of the Administrative Team. Your role is to ensure the efficient entry of accounting information and assist with office and administration functions of the organization. This role is collaborative, and the person in it will work across teams on events, initiatives, and special projects. It’s a dynamic position with an opportunity for growth and for new ideas.

This is a full-time position spending 2-3 days per week at WE’s downtown office and the remainder of the week working remotely. Starting salary is $39,400 per year. Marketing and Engagement Coordinator

The Marketing and Engagement Coordinator helps build WE’s reputation and position us as an expert on our issues by collaborating on all facets of the organization’s marketing, engagement, and communications strategies. The person in this role leads media outreach and the cultivation of media relationships and helps prepare staff members for media and event appearances. They will coordinate WE’s social media channels and make updates to the website, working with the Director of Marketing and Engagement and other key staff to develop engaging, creative, issue-driven content and helping to shape strategy to build and connect with our audience. They may represent Women Employed at events, meetings, and on working groups, and will build relationships on behalf of the organization.

This role is collaborative, and the person in it will work across teams on organizational campaigns, events, initiatives, and special projects. It’s a dynamic position with a great deal of opportunity for growth and for new ideas.

This is a full-time, exempt position Women Employed’s office is located in downtown Chicago and WE is currently employing a hybrid in-office/remote model. Staff are able to work primarily remotely with some days in the office depending on meeting or work requirements. Starting salary is $44,200 per year. Senior Coalition Manager

The Senior Coalition Manager, a new position, will build on WE’s strong track record of championing changes that advance equity for women in the workforce through effective relationships and coalitions. WE recently unveiled a bold, impactful strategic plan with the goal of building women’s economic power and closing the wealth gap at the intersection of race and gender; the Senior Coalition Manager is key to that goal. WE is seeking an experienced relationship-builder and advocate who can develop and advance a comprehensive strategy to build, activate and engage new and existing statewide coalitions in pursuit of specific policy and public education goals.

The Senior Coalition Manager will be a member of the Policy and Organizational Impact team, working closely with the Associate Director of Policy on advancing advocacy campaigns, primarily at the statewide level. The Senior Coalition Manager will, in collaboration with other Policy and Organizational Impact and Marketing and Engagement team members, coordinate public education, advocacy, policy analysis, and campaign strategy efforts. A key area of responsibility will be launching the Women’s Economic Power Coalition, which will be an umbrella effort under which both active and newly formed issue-specific coalitions and projects will be housed.
