When We Fight We Win: Funding the Future of Care in Illinois

Join us on Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. CT for a virtual town hall to learn more about what comes next in the fight for care.
With nearly a trillion dollars worth of cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, and the Affordable Care Act from the federal budget bill, the stakes are higher than ever for Illinois families already struggling with the high cost of care.
Join leaders and community members for a virtual town hall to discuss the future of care in Illinois. Moderated by Starr De Los Santos, Associate Director of Coalitions, Women Employed, we’ll hear from leaders such as Greg Kelley with SEIU HCIIMK, Amber Smock with Access Living, the Workers Center for Racial Justice, state elected officials and others on the front lines of care. Together, we’ll explore how we can ensure lawmakers prioritize public dollars for affordable, accessible care across the lifespan, especially support for older adults, disabled people, and family caregivers, and good jobs in the care workforce.
